Power kiting is a bit of the basis of kite surfing and it’s exciting when there’s a lot of wind. This activity is accessible to everyone and fun as a group activity. You can also pull off some crazy stunts on the beach instead of on the sea!
This is how powerkiting works
Powerkiting in Katwijk is an exciting group activity on the beach. This activity is particularly recommended when it’s windy, as the kite comes into its own. Our instructors are experienced kite surfers and will definitely teach you some cool tricks. Pull off the craziest stunts together with colleagues or friends!
This form of kiting is extremely fun for mastering the basics of kite surfing. In addition to having a great time with friends, you’ll also learn something! The strong wind makes this a tremendously fun challenge. Once you’ve mastered powerkiting and want to hit the water, take a kite surfing lesson at Kiteschool-Katwijk. You’ll receive individual kite surfing lessons from a professional kite surfer!
INDIVIDUAL KITESURFING LESSONS
Conquer the North Sea with your kitesurfing skills! Our highly experienced instructors are IKO certified, and we use the latest equipment. Safety is always our top priority. Our kitesurfing lessons are conducted in groups of two students per instructor. After this course, you can become IKO certified, allowing you to rent kitesurfing gear and ride the waves anywhere in the world!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- When is it windy enough?
We receive this question daily. Kitesurfing is possible from 12 knots (4bft). The more wind, the better.
- What kind of clothes should i bring?
For power kiting, we recommend wearing sportswear or comfortable clothing that allows easy movement. You can change clothes at our location.
- How large are the groups?
Depending on the group size, we use 1 kite for every 2 to 3 people. This allows for easy rotation and gives participants a chance to rest their forearms.
